This is a signature Burmese salad and is made with variations depending on the region. The tomatoes are roasted and fiery in Rakhine State or green with extra peanuts in Kalaw, Shan State.

This salad is one of a large variety of delicious, exotic and sophisticated, hand-tossed salads which have developed in Myanmar. With balancing layers of nutrients, flavour and texture this salad is quick to make and great for vegetarians.
